Asin the sensual actress from the South has made her name big way in Bollywood. The extremely versatile actresses known for her amazing subtlety in playing her roles is going to be seen in different avatars in her films this year. This year has been good for Asin with hit movies Kaavalan and Ready in her kitty.

Some Of Her Vernacular Hits :

Asin won many accolades for her performance in the Tamil movie Kaavalan. The movie was released in January this year and was a commercial success. It also won good critics. The onscreen chemistry between Vijay and Asin won applauds from the public and Asin was appreciated for carrying her role really well. The way she performed the role of a girl who tries to get even but ultimately falls in love with the guys she hated most needed remarkable subtlety.

Asin second big hit this year was Bollywood block buster Ready in which she shared the screen space with Salman Khan. The movie known for the hit song and dance sequences saw Salman and Asin making an amazing on screen appearance.

Though Salman hogged most of the limelight but without Asin fans were not disappointed by the way she nicely portrayed her character. The songs “Charcter Dheela”, and “Dheen-Chak” filmed on Samlan and Asin became hugely popular with the audiences. The cast of Ready included Mahesh Manjrekar, Paresh Rawal, Arya Babbar, Asin, and Salman Khan. It was directed by Anees Bazmee. The music was scored by Pritam Chakraborty.

Other Asin releases that are due this year include Bol Bachchan, and 2 States. Bol Bachchan is a comedy film. The star cast of Bol Bachchan includes Asin, Prachi Desai, Kareena Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, and Ajay Devgan.  The film is being directed by Rohit Shetty. 2 States is a film based on Chetan Bhagat’s popular novel “Two States” a love story of two individuals from two different backgrounds that finally ends up in marriage.

The film is being produced by Nadia Sajidwala and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.  Asin was an obvious choice for the role as she belongs to a traditional South Indian family and can play the role of a South Indian girl effortlessly.
